On Monday, January 2nd, 2023, Sabine Ibrahim Bennet, beloved wife and Auntie, passed away at the age of 38. She was born on November 11th, 1984, growing up in the beautiful village of Dahr El Souane in Lebanon. She was a sweetheart loved by all who knew her, though she was also a tough cookie growing up, not taking any lip from anyone. She once tied another kid to a tree for not listening to her, and while at school she helped keep the other kids in line with a stick. Nobody got out of line. Though she was busy keeping order in the neighborhood, she also found time to climb trees and go hunting with her brother.
In 1992 she moved with her family to America, settling in Arcadia. She was a smart cookie too, becoming fluent in English in just a month. She got great grades and joined marching band, playing the saxophone in her high school’s marching band. She even performed at the Rose Parade twice! She would major in History and English in college.
Sabine had a passion for painting, especially with watercolors. She loved being an Auntie to her beautiful and lively nieces and nephews. She married her husband, Patrick, on April 29th, 2017. He was one lucky cookie, as she taught him so much about life, love, and happiness. They loved to spend time with family and travel the world together. She would introduce him to the incredible Pineapple Dole Whip, one of her favorite desserts. She was an excellent cook and proud of her Lebanese heritage. Although she would be diagnosed with her illness soon after her marriage, it would not stop her from enjoying her life to the fullest. Her enthusiasm and joy were so infectious, and her love for life and the people in her life knew no bounds. She will be missed more than words can say.
She is survived by her husband; Patrick, her parents; Joseph and Najwa, her sister; Rania (Elias), her brother; Jean (Nadia), her nieces; Nadean, Gianna and Ava, her nephews; Leo and Andrew, her mother and father in law; Jill and Steve and her brother in law; Alex (Marielle). She will have a viewing at Pacific View Mortuary and Memorial Park on Saturday, January 28th, from 1pm to 5pm pacific time. She will have a celebration of her life the following day, Sunday, January 29th, at 10am pacific time. If you would like to send flowers, please use the link below.
