

Stanley Krutsick, Jr. passed away from natural causes on November 30, 2017 at the age of 67. He is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Krutsick, her husband Dana Pull, and grandson, Dustin Curren; siblings Mary Ann Krutsick of Rome, PA and Dr. Joseph Krutsick of Bethlehem, PA, and their spouses Richard Posniak and Sharon Krutsick; his mother, Mary Krutsick, niece Caitlin and nephew Sean. He is also survived by former spouses Carole Strunk of San Pedro, CA and Paulette Smith of Huntington Beach, CA, Stephanie’s mother. He was predeceased by his son, Dustin, and his father, Stanley Krutsick, Sr.
Stan was born on June 25, 1950 in Easton, PA, and grew up in Phillipsburg, NJ. He graduated from Phillipsburg Catholic High School in 1968. He continued his education at University of Dayton, where he graduated in 1975 with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He was employed by Hughes Aircraft shortly after college. He retired in 2006 as an Engineering Fellow from Raytheon with a distinguished career working on defense communication systems and intelligent systems. He received several patents for his innovations. He volunteered for many years at the Ocean Institute and served as a Mast Captain on the Brig Pilgrim. He served in a volunteer capacity as Vice President of the Bolsa Chica Land Trust to protect the wetlands and migratory bird habitats. He was passionate about nature and enjoyed sailing, diving, hiking and camping with his children and family. He will forever be remembered for his quick wit, joyous spirit, and kind heart. He was truly beloved by all who knew him, and leaves the world a better place for his being in it.
A celebration of Stan’s life will be held at Pacific View Memorial Park on December 10 at 2p.m. Reception details will be provided at the service.
