It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Adela G.Balderas, age 93, of Corpus Christi, Texas. She was born on March 7, 1932, in Ciudad Mier, Tamaulipas, Mexico, to Argimiro and Paula Alaniz Garcia.
She married the love of her life, Guadalupe F. Balderas, in Ciudad Mier, and together they built a beautiful life rooted in love, family, faith, and hard work. A determined and enterprising woman, she was the proud owner of a paving company and a mini storage business.
She was a devout Catholic, a faithful member of Las Guadalupanas, and a devoted Cursillista. Her faith guided every aspect of her life, and she found great joy and peace in praying the rosary daily.
She will be lovingly remembered for her warm heart, generous spirit, and deep devotion to her family. She loved gardening, sewing, and playing lotería, and especially treasured time spent with her loved ones—gathering, singing, and preparing her famous tamales. Her legacy is one of love, strength, and unwavering faith.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Guadalupe Balderas; her cherished son, Phillip Balderas; her parents, Argimiro and Paula Alaniz Garcia; six brothers; and two sisters.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters: Adela (Jesse) Garcia, Edith Balderas, Maria (Juan) Balderas Basurto, and Lydia (Ralph) Sanchez. She also leaves behind nine treasured grandchildren, ten adored great-grandchildren, and many extended family members and friends.
Her presence in our lives was a blessing, and her memory will remain in our hearts forever.
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the entire staff of Nurses on Wheels Hospice for their exceptional care and support. A very special thank you to Delma, Nina, and Jamie, whose unwavering compassion, kindness, and gentle care brought comfort and peace during our most difficult time. Your dedication will never be forgotten.
