Adolfo Yzaguirre

Lovingly remembered as "Guy" was received into our heavenly Father's arms on Monday afternoon.

He is preceded in death by his father, Pedro; brother, Robert and his beloved mother-in-law, Lilia Perez.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his best friend and wife of 35 years, Julia Alma, along with his four children, Adam, Melanie, Sean and Patrick who were the pride

of his life.

He also leaves behind his mother, Celestina Yzaguirre; sisters, Tina (Juan), Elsa (Uvaldo), Petra (Ruben) and brothers, Fiedel (Lupe), Demencio (Teresa) and Jose (Mary Lou)all of Corpus Christi.

After 35 years of service to the Navy Exchange, Guy retired in 2009.

His family wishes to thank Dr. Yvonne Manalo for her years of compassion and care as well as the Coastal Bend Cancer Center's chemo therapy department. The family would also like to thank nurses Kimberly and Michelle who helped Guy make his final transition. Special thanks to Mgrs. Roger Smith who has been a great spiritual guide through his illness these many years and through his final hours. The family also gives their deepest gratitude to all our dear friends and angels that have helped Guy complete his journey to peace.

The family will be receiving friends at Funeraria Del Angel-Memorial Holly on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A Holy Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Patrick's Catholic Church on Thursday, August 5, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. Services will conclude after the mass.
