Alma Nell Young

Alma Nell Young, 85, passed away on April 25, 2014. She was born on April 7, 1930 in Swenson, Texas. Alma married the love of her live and devoted husband, Otho on November 21, 1947 in Corpus Christi, Texas by the Rev. Lester Roloff.

She was with Central Power and Light Credit Union Manager for many years before retiring in 1989. Alma moved to Corpus Christi, Texas in the 1940’s where she resided until her passing.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Viola Pinson, 6-brothers, 6-sisters, and a special grandchild, Zachery Paul Young.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Otho, her children; Otho Bellar (Sandy) Young III, Randall Lee (Elizabeth) Young, Mark Wayne (Delia) Young, grandchildren; Kara, Kimberly, Sarah, Amy, Ryan, Mark Wayne II (Jon Mark), Taylor Young, great-grandchildren; Conner Young, Natalee, Sadie Martinez. Special friends where the loving members of Brighton Park Baptist Church, in particular Derinda Compton.

‘We will miss you Nanny but in our hearts we know this time apart is only for a short while. For it is promised that we will walk hand in hand with you again in the Kingdom of Heaven’.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 27, 2014 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home Corpus Christi, Texas from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Funeral Service will be held on 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 28, 2014 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Interment will immediately follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
