Amparo volunteered her time to making pillows and quilts for homebound hospice care patients. She also volunteered at the Kostoryz Elementary School.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ignacio and Jesusa Rodriguez; sister, Inez Alvarez and brother, Samuel Rodriguez.
She is survived by her son, Aurelio (Georgia Goralczyk-Arredondo) Arredondo; grandchildren, Anthony, Joseph and Thomas Goralczyk; brother, Amador (Dora) Rodriguez and Ismael (Maria Juanita) Rodriguez; brother-in-law, Basilio Alvarez; along with numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening. Funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday, December 27, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church. Interment will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
