Arnulfo Benavides Jr., a devoted husband, loving father, and proud U.S. Army veteran, passed away on November 19, 2025, surrounded by his family. Born on February 22, 1943, Jr. lived a life rooted in service, humility, and unwavering commitment to those he loved.
After honorably serving his country in the United States Army, Jr. continued his dedication to the military community through a long and respected career at the Corpus Christi Army Depot. Known for his reliability, craftsmanship, and strong work ethic, he faithfully served until his retirement in 2002.
Jr. married the love of his life, Selvia Diana Benavides of 54 years, and together they built a home grounded in faith, love, and family. He was a proud and devoted father to his three sons—Dennis, Darren, and Duane—and he took immense pride in watching his family grow.
He was blessed with three grandchildren who brought tremendous joy to his life: Dash, Sadie, and Jordan. His legacy continued into the next generation with his great-grandchild, Denver Reign, whose presence brought Jr. renewed happiness and pride.
Beyond his work and family life, Jr. valued community and friendship. He was a longtime member of the De Novo Men’s Club, where he enjoyed fellowship, laughter, and many meaningful moments over the years.
Those who knew Jr. will remember his gentle nature, steady presence, and quiet strength. He lived with dignity, kindness, and humility—always putting family first and leading by example.
Jr. leaves behind a legacy of love, honor, and service. His spirit will continue to shine through his children, grandchildren, great-grandchild, and all who were blessed to know him.

A visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel, located at 4901 Everhart Road, Corpus Christi, TX 78411, on December 11, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. During this time, the Recitation of the Holy Rosary will occur from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Another visitation will take place on December 12, 2025, from 9:00 am to 10:30 am at the same venue.
A religious ceremony is scheduled for December 12, 2025, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Corpus Christi, located at 5830 Williams Dr, Corpus Christi, TX 78412.
The funeral service will be held on December 12, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery, located at 9974 I-37, Corpus Christi, TX 78410.
