Aurora P. Garcia

It is with deepest sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother Aurora P. Garcia on August 26, 2016 at the age of 84. She was born in Brownsville, Texas on August 10, 1932. After having fought a lengthy battle with cancer she passed away peacefully and pain free. We have all gained a beautiful guardian angel who is watching over us.

She will always be remembered for her passion to garden, her love for being outdoors, and the life she brings to our souls. Aurora was strong in her faith and a devout member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. She loved her family; she loved her friends, and had compassion for everyone that had entered not only her life, but our life.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Patricio and Maria De La Luz Peralez; beloved husband of 54 years, Roberto B. Garcia; siblings: Refugio P. Medina, Micaela P. Ramos, Margarita Peralez, Gualberto Peralez and Concepcion Peralez.

She is survived by daughters, Maria Martha Alvarado (Victor), Graciela G. Lugo (Ricardo); grandchildren, Trevor Longoria, Victoria Alvarado, Jennifer Alvarado, John J. Alvarado, Kate Lugo; siblings: Rebecca P. Garcia, and Efrain Peralez; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A visitation will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Funeral Vigil at 7:00 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Perpetual Help on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. with Interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
