

Barbara McCain- Carlan passed away on October 21, 2015 with her loving family by her side. Barbara was born in Corpus Christi Texas to Everett H. Jenkins and Elizabeth Galbreath Jenkins on March 12, 1933.
Barbara was a lifelong home maker, loving wife and devoted mother. Her ability to love unconditionally, treat all as family, and deep Christian faith set an example for all generations to come. Her remarkable skill in the kitchen was shown at every meal set at her table. Baking was her specialty, specifically pies. This knack led her to open and run a successful bakery "Barbara's Olde Tyme Pye Shoppe". Barbara's personality, openness and loving disposition was demonstrated in the fact that she was known to all as "Granny".
She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband of 51 years, Elvis Earl McCain; second husband, Garry Carlan; her grandson, Dylan Shane Moulder; her two brothers, Jim Jenkins, Robert Jenkins; her sister, Genell Luton; numerous in-laws and other close relatives.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories her daughters and sons, Kelli (Justin) Moulder, Barby McCain, Mitchell (Lori) McCain, Gary (Debbie) McCain; one brother, Everett (Nancy) Jenkins Jr.; grandchildren; Mitch, Joshua, Amanda, Somer, Kelsie, Kyle, Ryley, Garrett, Addison, Eyan, Brooks, Cami, Jamie; three great grandchildren; Tobias, Adelaide, and Grahm.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 8200 Old Brownsville Rd, Corpus Christi, TX with her Pastor Steve Exendine officiating.
