Betty A Shepard

Betty was born in Meriwether County, Georgia on November 23, 1930 and was the youngest of eleven children of Noah Sidney Gross and Carrie Virginia Teal.

She is preceded in death by her husband Louis Shepard, her son David Shepard, her daughter Susan Lemar and her grandson Marc Shepard.

She is survived by her daughters, Linda (Gary) Kraatz, Toni (Carlos) Alvarez, Lori (Rick) Quintanilla and Lisa (Faustino) Evans; 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Betty was a dedicated Navy wife for over 50 years and lived in Hawaii and California before settling in Corpus Christi in the mid-60's. She and Louis raised their children and went on to see them raise fine families of their own. Known by some of her grandchildren as "Mom-Mom" and by others as "Grandma", Betty was a one-of-a-kind grandmother. She will undoubtedly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Cage-Mills Funeral Directors.
