Carolyn "Mimi" Ray

Carolyn was a devoted Volunteer to many organizations including Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of America, Camp Fire USA, Dreams-Drums and Rainbows, Ashbury United Methodist Church Youth Group, Mary Carroll FFA, and Arts of Defense Martial Arts.

She was a Licensed Vocational Nurse from 1974 until her retirement in 2008.

Her hobbies included gardening, arts and crafts, reading, camping, but her favorite was spending time with her kids, grandkids, and great-grand child. She never knew a stranger and also welcomed all into her home with a smile and a “Are you Hungry?” attitude.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Kyle Daniel Koffer. She leaves behind her loving husband, Donald Ray, three children, Carol Ailene (Tony) Koffer, Allen (Janet) Ray and Darla Morrow; six grandchildren, Shawn Michael (Samantha)Ray, Ariel Dawn Ray (Gary Richard Burger), Cody Allen(Makayla) Ray, Christopher Wade Koffer, Kaelyn DeMarie Koffer and Michaela Louise Morrow; one great-grandchild, Sophia Riley Ray and another great-grandchild on the way, Emily Ann Burger. Carolyn is also survived by her brother-in-law, Gary Ray and three brothers, Al, Mike and Randy Mann. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, and all the kids she “claimed” as her own.

Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Thursday, April 14, 2016 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A Chapel service will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Friday, April 15, 2016 at 10:00 am with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
