Catalina B. Hinojosa

Catalina “Katie” Hinojosa age of 93, born February 13, 1921 was called to Heaven surrounded by her loved ones on May 25, 2014. Her work career included Naval Air Station Corpus Christi during World War II also at Bell Finance for 25 years, another 10 years at Memorial Funeral Home and many other adventures. She was a very hard worker. Katie was a loving wife, mother, aunt, friend and grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Catarino Botello and Victoria Alvarado, siblings Catarino Botello Jr., Paublo Botello, Andres Botello and Olivia Botello.

Katie is survived by her devoted loving husband of 55 years, Juan A. Hinojosa Jr., daughters, Laura (Alfredo) Gonzalez and Gloria (Rich) Gonzales, 5 granddaughters, Arminda, Elessa, Thalia, Noemi, Cecilia, one grandson, Alfred “Freddy”, 2 sisters, Englantina Tristan from Corpus Christi and Enoelia Botello Vda de Martinez de Monterrey, Mexico.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Funeraria del Angel-Memorial Holly with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 30, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at SS Cyril Methodius Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Taft Memorial Park.
