Charles W. Jones

Chuck proudly served 5 years 1 month and 4 days in the US Army during World War II and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, Purple Heart, and 3 Bronze Stars. He was a route salesman for Butter Krust Bakery for 32 years. Chuck enjoyed watching the Cowboys, Astros and was an avid deer hunter.

He was preceded in death by his wife Fay Louise (Smith), son Charles Weldon, Jr., his parents, brother Robert, and sisters Irene and Dorothy.

He is survived by his children Janice (Jerry) Thomas, Charles (Pam) Jones , Russell Jones; grandchildren Nicholas, Valarie, and Austin and great grandchildren, Kaden, Alyssa, and Ashton .

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at Cage-Mills Funeral Directors. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 29, 2012 also at Cage-Mills Funeral Directors. The Graveside Service will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, March 29, 2012 at The Palms Memorial Gardens in Portland, Texas.
