

He was born in Longview, Texas on December 23, 1934. He was the oldest son of Charles H. and Lois E. Stence of Bellmont III.
He is survived by his sister, Glenda R. (Stence) and her husband Leon R. Raber; sister in law, Darlene Wright; children, Cheri M. (Chip) Maupin, Charles N. (Laura) Stence Jr., Sarah A. Sammons and Michel R. (Sandra) Stence; grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews and many loving friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Lois Stence; his wives, Arminda R. (Weems) and Viola L. (Wright); Arminda’s parents, William and Opal Weems; Viola’s parents, Alfred and Grace Wright; twin sons, Ronald and Donald; his brothers, Reuben and David Stence. Charles loved serving the Lord Jesus and it showed most by the way he treated every single person he met. His ventures into the ministry began with him and his family starting out as missionaries to Mexico, then spreading the gospel to the youth in Eagle Pass/Rosita Valley and then on to Corpus Christi. He was in the Army and was a veteran of the Korean War and was a part of the Tank Corps. His hobbies were many, but his favorites were bee keeping, carpentry, metal art, ancestry, history and studying scientific interest like chemistry and tinkering.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March, 13, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with entombment at Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
