As a talented DJ, he brought energy and excitement to venues across the city, including Murdock's, Mully's, The Brick, Rich's, Doc's Seafood, Wonder's, Recess, and The Sushi Bar. Music was the heartbeat of Chris's life — from creating beats to recording tracks in his home studio, he lived and breathed his art.

Chris will be remembered for his kind heart, infectious humor, and vibrant personality. Known for his quick wit and ability to bring a smile to anyone's face, he also had a gift for connecting with others through his music. His first DJ gig at Theo's with Dusty sparked a journey that left a lasting impression on the local music scene.
He was preceded in death by his beloved grandfather, Roque Marez, with whom he shared a deep and special bond. Roque’s passing in March 2024 was a profound loss for Chris. Also joining him in Heaven was his aunt, Mary K. Forste.

He is also survived by his uncles, John Chapa and Michael (Rosie) Chapa; and his nephew, Ayden J. Garcia, along with numerous friends and extended family who will miss him dearly.
