

Connie was born on April 6, 1936, in Corpus Christi, TX to his father, Connie Brown and his mother, Frances Brandon Brown. He grew up in Corpus Christi, TX and went to Roy Miller High School where he played football and baseball.
He married Linda Walker on July 24, 1955. They were married for 65 years. Connie and Linda adopted their only child, Christopher Brown, in 1969. In Corpus Christi and Harlingen, he worked for Hygeia Dairy as a milkman, supervisor, sales manager and branch manager. He retired in 1998. He was known by his family and friends as Barney, Bubba and Dad. He loved the Dallas Cowboys, Baylor Bears and BBQ.
Connie’s life and passion was being an exceptional father and husband. He was helpful and friendly and had too many friends to count. He was always finding jobs for family and friends and helping people in need. He had the gift of hospitality, hosting many people and parties at his homes in Corpus Christi, Harlingen and at the “fishing house” in Arroyo City.
Connie is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Christopher and Heather Brown of Houston, TX and his sister Beverly Clegg of Nashville, TN, as well as many others in his extended family and countless friends.
We will say goodbye to Connie on Thursday, July 25, 2024 beginning at 1:00 p.m. with a Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home (8200 Old Brownsville Rd, Corpus Christi, TX 78415; (361) 265-9221). Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
