Cora Goding passed away on April 11, 2022 at the age of 77. She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched, and there were many. Cora was born on October 8, 1944 in Corpus Christi, TX to James Edward Ralls and Frankie Nell Goodson Ralls. She was a valued employee for the Nueces County Purchasing Department for 24 years, working her way up to become the Nueces County Purchasing Agent prior to her retirement in December 2006. Cora stayed on as a consultant for Nueces County for some time after her retirement. She was very creative and enjoyed several creative outlets including decorating her home, sewing, quilting, ceramics, doll making and painting. She also enjoyed fishing and hunting. During the pandemic she made masks for family, healthcare workers and strangers who asked her about them.
She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Ashley Dawn Langford, grandson Corey Alan Jackson, parents James and Frankie Ralls, twin sister Nora S. Ralls and former husband, Artie Goding.
She is survived by daughter, DeLaina (Jay) Whitlock of Corpus Christi, TX, daughter Deonna (Bart) Langford of Manvel, TX and son Michael “Rusty” (Evelyn) Goding of Corpus Christi, TX, brother Gary Michael Ralls of Corpus Christi, Texas, sister Margie Gorham of Joshua, TX, sister Teresa Justice of Huachua City, AZ, sister Ruby Duggins of Corpus Christi, TX and sister Nattalene Tauber of Azele, TX, 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial Service 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 15, 2022 at Funeraria Del Angel-Everhart, 4901 Everhart Road, Corpus Christi, Texas.
