Corinne G. Fuentes, 89, passed away May 4, 2016. She was born on January 3, 1927 to Simon and Corinne G. Fuentes in Corpus Christi, Texas. She married her husband of 63 years on August 1945. Corinne was employed by Sears. She enjoyed fishing and gardening. She will always be remembered for her laughter and devotion to her family. Corinne is preceded in death by her husband, Ruben B. Fuentes; her sisters, Amelia (Gill) Wuest, Vera (Marion) Rios and Janie Garza; her brothers, Simon (Carmen) Garza, Refugio Garza, Tony (Izzy) Garza, Willie (Mary Alice) Garza and Dora Garza. She is survived by her sons: Ruben Jr. (Delia) Fuentes, Paul (Debbie) Fuentes and daughter, Dora (Larry) Strong. She also leaves behind to cherish her memories, 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. A Visitation will be held on Friday, May 6, 2016 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Memory Gardens Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 5:30 pm that same evening. A Chapel Service will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 11:00 am at Memory Gardens Funeral Home with entombment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
