David Charles McEntire, age 46, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away on Monday, April 11, 2022. David was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on April 1, 1976 to Charles R. McEntire, Jr., and Sandra McEntire.
He graduated from Gregory-Portland High School in 1994. David served in the United States Navy from 1994-2002 rising to the rate and rank of Electrician's Mate Second Class.
David was a loving son, brother, cousin, and friend. He enjoyed participating in football, baseball, and soccer. He will always be remembered for his service to the community, devotion and loyalty to family and friends, and protector of children.
David was preceded in death by his father, Charles R. McEntire, Jr.; paternal grandparents, Charles R. McEntire, Sr. and Edna McEntire; aunt, Susan McEntire; maternal grandparents, Jesus G. Rios and Mavis A. Rios.
David is survived by his mother, Sandra McEntire, sister, Bethany McEntire, aunt, Janice Corkern; two godchildren, Synjin Marquis, and Torryn Marquis; numerous cousins, and friends.
A celebration of life gathering for David will be held Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Everhart, 4901 Everhart Rd, Corpus Christi, Texas 78411. Following the celebration of life gathering will be an inurnment at 2:00 p.m. at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery, 9974 Ih 37 Access Rd, Corpus Christi, Texas 78410.
