Delia M. Murillo

Delia M. Murillo, age 77, passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2024. Delia was born on August 14, 1947, to parents Jose Garcia Madrigal and Guadalupe Galvan Madrigal, and was a lifelong resident of Corpus Christi, Texas.

On October 14, 1968, Delia was united in marriage to her beloved Juan Lopez Murillo. Together, they raised four beautiful children.

Delia had many jobs throughout her life, from being a manager at What-a-burger, to being a Licensed Vocational Nurse at the Christus Spohn Memorial Hospital. She even worked as a Home Health Nurse and put herself through beauty school! Out of all her jobs, her all time favorite job was being a full-time mother.

Delia is reunited with her parents, Jose and Guadalupe Madrigal; siblings, Juan (Jesusa) Madrigal, Guadalupe Arredondo, Maria (Jose) Gomez, Josepha (Ramon) Salgado, Antonia (Juan) Manzon, Jose Madrigal Jr., Amelia Gomez, and Mario (Lucy) Madrigal.

Delia leaves her memories to her beloved husband of 56 years, Juan Lopez Murillo; children, San Juana Murillo, Antonia (Henry) Ramon, Imelda Murillo, Martin (Yuliana) Murillo, and Ofilia (Julian) Mourad Hasbaoui; brothers-in-law, Richard Arredondo and Hector Gomez; and sister-in-law, Frances Madrigal; grandchildren, Kristin Davila, Marcella Hatley, Bianca Davila, Gabriella Monzon, Henry Ramon Jr., Andrew Ramon, Marissa Ramon, Mark Garcia Jr., Janysse Garcia; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.

Those with the honor of being a pallbearer are as follows: David Wayne Madrigal, Juan Ramon Monzon, Joey Cruz Jr., Henry Ramon Jr., Jeremy Hatley, and June Salgado.

Visitation will be held from 5 PM until 9 PM on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at Memory Gardens Funeral Home where a Holy Rosary will be recited that same night at 7 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 AM on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at Our Lady of Pilar Catholic Church. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
