Dorris O. Ryan Brown-Lawrence

Dorris O. Brown-Lawrence, 89, passed away May 19, 2010. She was born June 23, 1920 in Runge, Texas to Ira Frank Ryan and Mary Marshall Ryan. Dorris was a longtime resident of Bishop, Texas and member of First United Methodist Church in Bishop. She was a retired teacher.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary Ryan; two brothers, Marshall Ryan and Morrris K. Ryan. Preceding her in death are husbands, Carrol White, beloved husband, Earl Brown and Thomas Lawrence.

Dorris is survived by two daughters, Mary Paulson of Corpus Christi and Patricia Voigt (Wayne) of Robstown, Texas; two brothers, Frank Ryan (Dorothy) of Victoria, Texas and Jimmie K. Ryan (Helen) of Sherman, Texas; sister-in-law, Mary Ryan of Corpus Christi; and nine grandchildren, Jennifer Gunter (Jason), Jill Barnes (John), Michael Voigt (Ann), Stephanie Bagget (Rick), Patrick Voigt, Cassie Lucas (George), Thomas Reynolds (Nancy), Judy Kraemer (John) and Nick Reynolds. she is also survived by many great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Sunday, May 23, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Cage-Mills Funeral Directors. Visitation will also be held Monday, May 24, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Bishop, Texas with interment to follow at Restland Cemetery, Bishop, Texas.
