Elida A. Montoya, 95 of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was a devoted wife and mother who loved her family unconditionally and she was a woman with a strong faith in God. Elida was a giving person with a big heart who will be missed dearly by her family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Pedro Montoya, Sr.; daughter, Aurora Mitchell (Henry) and a son Alejandro Montoya, Sr. (Rosa).
Elida is survived by her daughters, Dolores Salinas (Regino) and Isabel Longoria (Valerio); sons Pedro Montoya, Jr. (Carmen) and Jesus A. Montoya (Anita). Also surviving are 28 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren and 25, great-great-grandchildren.
Public visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday, January 12, 2014 at Funeraria Del Angel-Memorial Holly with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. Rites of a Christian burial will be celebrated at 12 noon on Monday, January 13, 2014 at Holy Family Catholic Church with interment to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
