Elma June Jackson, 85, passed away on Friday, June 14, 2013. She was born on July 1, 1927 to Arthur Sydney James Lloyd and Elsie May White in Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia. She is preceded in death by 7 brothers and sisters, children; Barbara Faye Odom, Jacqueline Sue Jackson, James Calvin Jackson Jr. She worked at several different Church nurseries throughout Corpus Christi and cared for many children in her home.
Elma was the youngest of nine children; having one living sister, Marjorie Sayer in Australia.
She is survived by her husband of 69 years; James Calvin Jackson along with her daughter; Beverly Ann Jackson Moorhead, grandson; Roger Darrin Moorhead, granddaughters; Amy Green, Melissa Odom, Jennifer Odom, and 12-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 16, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be on Monday, June 17, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Chapel by Pastor Stan Whites. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
