Estefana S Rodriguez

Estefana Sanchez Rodriguez was called home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, August 7, 2012. She went peacefully surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Falfurrias, Texas on February 11, 1925 to Calixto C. Sanchez and Maria L. Sanchez.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Trinidad V. Rodriguez; her brothers, Gilberto, Calixto Jr., Maximo and Domingo Sanchez, Julian Longoria and her sister Teresa Martinez.

Left to treasure her precious memories are her loving and devoted children: Gilbert "Rod" (Mary) Rodriguez of Sandia, Texas, Olivia "Libby" Gutierrez, Rose Mary Rodriguez, George (Sheila) Rodriguez all of Corpus Christi, Texas, Gabriel "Gabe" (Norma) Rodriguez of Orange Grove, Texas and Trinidad "Tony" Rodriguez of Corpus Christi, Texas, daughter-in-law Mary Purita Rodriguez of California, 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers Servando, Abelardo and Melquiades Sanchez and one sister Ascencion Cruz, all of Falfurrias, Texas.

The family would like to thank Pastors Arnold and Tommie Zuniga and the congregation of The Lord is Peace Worship Center; the caring staff at CareStat Home Health Services, especially A.J. Angeles and Elsie Zahn and all the loving, caring and supportive staff at Odyssey Hospice for the wonderful care given to our Mother and the spiritual support given to the family.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Sunday, August 12, 2012 with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. and a Prayer Service at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 8200 Old Brownsville Road in Corpus Christi.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 13, 2012 at The Lord Is Peace Worship Center, 4730 Kostoryz with Pastor Arnold Zuniga officiating.

A viewing will be held from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m.

Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
