Esther S. “Chapis” Santos, 95, passed away September 8, 2016. She was born June 15, 1921 in Velardena, Durango, Mexico to Jose Reyes Salinas and Guadalupe Medina de Salinas. Esther was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed sewing and crafting. Esther loved taking care of her home and family and was devoted to her faith and her church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jesus Antonio Santos; son, Jesus Antonio Santos and a granddaughter, Jessica L. Ramirez. Esther is survived by her 6 children, Esther A. (Baldemar) Martinez, Sylvia M. (Jimmy) Davis, Jorge E. (Maximina), Martha R. Gomez, Magdalena S. (Fidel) Hernandez and Luis G. Santos; 15 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Sunday, September 11, 2016 with a Prayer Service at 6:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow on Monday, September 12, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
