Florinda De La Garza

Florinda was a loving, charitable, kind and beautiful woman, inside and out. She loved all flowers and listening to Spanish music. Her family will miss her dearly.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 66 years, Matias De La Garza; brothers, Manuel and Raul Gonzales and children, Guadalupe and Matias Jr.

She is survived by her children, Delfina Martinez, Dolores Villarreal (Eliberto), Arturo De La Garza (Carmen), Guadalupe Valverde (Frank) and son-in-law, Luis Martinez; 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Florinda also leaves behind her brother Mercedes Gonzales and sister, Florentina De La Garza.

The family will be receiving friends at Funeraria del Angel Memorial Holly on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm that same evening. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 5620 Gollihar Rd., at 9:15 a.m. with Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
