

Francisco “Paco” Ramos, loving husband and father went to his Lord on February 6, 2015. He was born on April 15, 1920 in Mier, Tamaulipas, Mexico to Otila R. Ramos and Eliseo Ramos, Sr. He was married on July 13, 1942 to Alicia Estella Garza in Hebbronville, Texas at the Lady of Guadalupe Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alicia; parents; sisters, Estella Ramos, Encarnacion Ramos, Francisca Ramos Alvarez, Gloria Ramos Kjos; brothers, Romeo Ramos, Roland Ramos and Eliseo Ramos, Jr.
He is survived by his sister, Lita Ramos Rodriguez; brother, Mario Ramos; three daughters, Rosie Ramos, Bertha Ramos Warner and Iris Ramos; son, Frank Ramos, Jr.; 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Francisco graduated from Hebbronville High School and joined the Air Force and was stationed in Dallas, Texas. Francisco became a naturalized citizen. During World War II he was stationed in France and Germany. He was in the Army Reserves and was called to duty when the Korean War began. Francisco was sent to Fort Sill, Oklahoma and worked as a medic. After the Korean War he returned to Hebbronville. In 1954 he moved his family to Corpus Christi. He served as a Fire Fighter for the City of Corpus Christi. He retired after 28 years and was an active member of the Firefighters Association.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 9, 2015 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with a Holy rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. that same evening. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
