Francisco M. Reyes Jr.

Francisco M. Reyes, Jr., 75, passed away surrounded by his family on June 21, 2014 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born in McAllen, Texas on October 21, 1938 to Francisco Medrano Reyes and Maria Inez Martinez.

Francisco was in the Army Reserves and National Guard, and was a deputy of the Knights of Columbus. He worked with Lone Star, Energy Industries and with the Department of Public Safety.

He enjoyed gardening, bar-b-queing with his family every Sunday and watching the Dallas Cowboys. Win or lose, he was a loyal fan. He was a loving and caring person who never had an unkind word for anyone and never said no to his children and grandchildren. He was always willing to help anyone and everyone.

He was preceded in death by his parents Maria Inez Martinez and Francisco Reyes Sr. and Brother Pedro Reyes. He is survived by his wife of 47 years Gloria S. Reyes; his children, Esmeralda S. Reyes, Magdalena R. (Carlos) Zuniga, Jose Francisco S. (Josie) Reyes; his sister, Yare R. Castillo; his grandchildren, Adriana, Jonathan, Andrew and Anthony; and numerous in laws, nieces and nephews.

Family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with at Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Pillar Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Pete Castillo, Alan Fuertes, Andrew Mota, Carlos, Enrique, Guadalupe, Guillermo, Gustavo Suarez.

Honorary Pallbearers are Aralee, Alyssa and Andie Mota.
