With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Guadalupe Moreno, a woman whose spirit was as bold as her laughter and whose kindness touched everyone she met. Born on June 17, 1942, in Robstown, Texas, she spent her life spreading joy, raising her family, and making sure no one around her ever went hungry, or without a smile.
Guadalupe lived in Corpus Christi, where she became known for the things that brought her joy: game rooms, bingo nights, flowers, plants, Tejano music, dancing, and her favorite game shows. But more than anything, she loved people. She had a way of lighting up a room with just her presence, and if you knew her, you probably have a memory of her cracking a joke or dancing like nobody was watching.
She had the biggest heart. Guadalupe would give you food right off her plate if you needed it. She never sat down to eat before making sure everyone else was fed. She gave her time, her energy, and her love without ever expecting anything in return. Her generosity wasn’t just something people admired, it was something they felt deeply.
She was a character in the best sense of the word. She made us laugh. She made us feel welcome. And she always made sure we knew we were loved.
Guadalupe is now reunited with those she missed dearly: her father Eubaldo Moreno, her mother Seledonia Aguilar, and her siblings Gregorio Soto, Jose Moreno, Martina Ortiz, and Aurora Aguilar.
She leaves behind a family that adores her:
Her children, Eubaldo Moreno, Pablo Ray Moreno, Sally Ann Moreno, Jose Alfredo Moreno, and Edward Manuel Moreno.
Her sisters, Manuela Reyna and Jesusa Ayala.
And the many grandchildren who made her eyes light up:
Eubaldo Moreno Jr., Samantha Nicole Moreno, Pablo Ray Moreno Jr., Albert Ryan Moreno, Raymond Adam Moreno, Monica Moreno, Angela Moreno, Angel Moreno, Paul Michael Moreno, Adam Moreno (Sade Edward Moreno), Hailey Nicole Moreno, Jordan Wayne Moreno, Serenity Moreno, Jeremiah Torres, Jazzel Moreno, Khloe Moreno, Shawn Moreno, and Brianna Moreno.
We’ll miss her jokes, her music, her love of dancing, and her way of making everyone feel like they belonged. Guadalupe gave us memories that will last a lifetime, and love that will never fade.
