Hermila G. Rodriguez

Hermila G. Rodriguez 87, born March 6, 1926, in Roma, Texas, entered into eternal rest on March 15, 2013. She was loving, devoted and dedicated and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her father, mother, brother and her daughter Evelyna Jimenez and her son, Alan Rodriguez.

Hermila is survived by her children, Gilbert (Olga) Rodriguez of Corpus Christi, Texas, Robert (Irma) Rodriguez of Corpus Christi, Texas, Nelda (Oscar) Cortez of Spring, Texas and Ida Elisa (Ronald) Reed of Harlingen, Texas; fourteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren; sisters, Emilia Gonzalez, Elia Maldonado, Emma Garcia, Mary Martin, Ercilia Guerra and Maria I. Garcia. She is also survived by her daughter–in-law, Leticia Rodriguez and son-in-law, Mauricio Jimenez.

Honoring her as pallbearers are Oscar Cortez, Ron Reed, Alan Rodriguez, Jr., Raime Ramirez, Jr., Steve Rodriguez and Gilbert Rodriguez III.

The family wishes to give special thanks to Park Manor Nursing Home of Tomball, Texas for all the compassion and loving care they gave to our mother and special thanks to Dr. B. Chahal.

The family will receive friends at Funeraria Del Angel-Memorial Holly from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Friday, March 22, 2013, with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral mass will be on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 10:0 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 8200 Old Brownsville Road in Corpus Christi, Texas.
