Hilaria Maciel Diaz

Hilaria married the love of her life, Juan G. Diaz, and together they built a beautiful family. She had a passion for gardening, tending to her flowers, and sewing. She especially enjoyed making tamales for her family and cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren. One of Javier's most treasured memories with his mom was an unforgettable road trip, where they spent eight hours laughing together on their way to pick up Richard in Fort Worth, Texas.

She will always be remembered for her delicious tamales, the sweet fragrance of her flower garden, her kindness, and the unwavering love she gave to her family.

Hilaria was preceded in death by her mother, Raquela Maciel; her husband, Juan G. Diaz; and her sisters, Monica Borrego, Matiana M. Garcia, and Virginia Maciel.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving children, Javier Diaz, David Diaz, Diana D. Maldonado, and Juan Ricardo Diaz; her siblings, Minnie Sanchez, Lupe Maciel, and Faustina (John) Robinson; as well as her numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, all of whom she deeply adored.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her love and legacy will live on in the hearts of her family forever.

A visitation for Hilaria will be held Friday, August 22, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel, 549 Cheyenne, Corpus Christi, TX 78405. A Holy Rosary will be recited at 4:00 PM that same afternoon.
