Hilda Olivarez Rubio

In May of 1991, Hilda married, Genaro Rubio, and together they built a home filled with faith, love, and family. She previously worked as a Supervisor for Tartan Textiles, where she formed lifelong friendships.

Hilda was a devoted member of Templo Elim Church, where she proudly served in Women’s Ministries and joyfully helped decorate for many church events. Her creativity shined through her love for arts and crafts, and she found her greatest happiness spending time with her grandchildren.

Hilda will always be remembered for her caring and generous heart of gold. Her kindness, compassion, and unwavering love touched everyone she met.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Concepcion and Eloisa Olivarez.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 34 years, Genaro Rubio; her children Irma Vela (Hector Vela) and Christian Rubio (Briona Rubio); and her four beloved grandchildren: Caleb Anthony Rubio, Christabel Lynn Rubio, Christopher Abel Rubio, and Gideon Santos Vela. She is also survived by her sister Irma Olivarez, as well as numerous nieces and nephews who admired and loved her dearly.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the many friends and loved ones for their prayers, support, and generous donations during this time. A very special thank you is extended to Templo Elim Church for your unwavering love and support.

The viewing and visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, located at 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, Texas, 78415, on December 18, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A prayer service will take place at the same location on December 18, 2025, at 7:00 pm.

Continued visitation is scheduled for December 19, 2025, at 9:00 am at Memory Gardens Funeral Home followed by the funeral service at 10:00 am. The committal and interment will follow at 11:00 am at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
