

Ignacia Guerra Roldan of Corpus Christi, Texas went home to be with the Lord on September 11, 2013 at the age of 93. She was born on July 31, 1920 in Taft, Texas. Better known as “Nachita” she was raised in Taft, Texas where as the eldest, she helped raise all her brothers and sisters. Later she would meet her husband Bartolo Roldan and she was quickly swept off her feet and they moved to Sinton, Texas. After her last child was born, the family moved to Corpus Christi where she would live 60 plus years until her passing. Nachita was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Well known for her love of music, doll collection, home cooking, sense of fashion and love of jewelry, she will be greatly missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donaciano & Petra Guerra and husband Bartolo Luna Roldan, two sisters Concepcion Arroyo, Margarita Guerra and five brothers Manuel, Juan, Pablo and Donaciano (Chano) Guerra. She is survived by her brother Bonifacio Guerra and three children Julio (Alicia) Roldan, Hector Roldan and Irma “Irme” Roldan. Her ten grandchildren; Roland Segovia, Julio Jr., Randy, Rudy, Ramsey, Bart, John Paul Roldan, Yvette Ortiz-Carranza, Solomon Ortiz, Jr. Saul Zamora and 15 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Roldan’s family will receive friends beginning at 5:00 pm on Sunday, September 15, 2013 at Funeraria del Angel Funeral Home, 549 Cheyenne St. Corpus Christi, Texas, with a Rosary to begin at 7:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, September 16, 2013 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 540 Hiawatha St. Corpus Christi, Texas. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 8200 Old Brownsville Road.
