Isaias de la Rosa Jr., born on February 18, 1950, in Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away on February 14, 2026, at the age of 75. Isaias was a cherished husband, father, and grandfather who touched the lives of many with his kindness and gentle spirit.
Isaias was a lifelong resident of Corpus Christi, Texas. He graduated from Moody High School and went on to earn a degree in AC/Refrigeration from Del Mar College. He married Emelia Ana Treviño on July 15, 1972, at Corpus Christi Cathedral, and together they built a loving family.
His career achievements were complemented by his dedication to his community. Isaias was an active member of the Boys & Girls Club and The Duprees. He also devoted many years to coaching baseball and youth football at Padre Little League, Oso Baseball Field, Southside Baseball, and CCYFL.
Isaias had a passion for barbecuing on Sundays and was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys, San Antonio Spurs, and Houston Astros. He was a true gentleman, known for his quiet dignity and open heart. Whether sharing stories at family gatherings or offering advice, his kindness was always felt by those around him.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years of marriage, Emelia Ana Treviño De la Rosa; son, Brian De La Rosa and his wife, Lorena; daughter, Amy De La Rosa and her fiancé, Joe Salazar; grandson, Chance Michael Dittman; and step-grandsons, Axel Prieto, Jordan Salazar, and Christian Salazar. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and Godchildren.
Isaias was preceded in death by his parents, Isaias De La Rosa Sr. and Maria Santos De La Rosa; brother, Joe De La Rosa; father-in-law, Baldemar Treviño; and mother-in-law, Anita Treviño.
Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel, 4901 Everhart Road, Corpus Christi, TX 78411, on February 22, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm. Continued visitation will be on February 23, 2026, from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, 3502 Saratoga Blvd, Corpus Christi, TX 78415, at 1:00 pm, followed by the Committal Service at Memory Gardens, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, TX 78415, at 2:30 pm.
Isaias de la Rosa Jr. will be remembered as a man who never met a stranger, always ready to talk to anyone and everyone. His legacy of quiet kindness and openheartedness will continue to inspire those who knew him.
