Israel Perez Jr.

Israel Perez Jr., age 67, of Orange Grove, Texas, passed away on Monday, March 4, 2024. He was born in Falfurrias, Texas, on November 26, 1956, to Anita Garcia and Israel Perez Sr. Israel graduated from Los Fresnos High School and went on to join the United States Air Force. Israel married his beloved wife Belinda B. Perez on June 6, 1998. After his career in the Air Force, he went on to work for the Corpus Christi Refineries and thereafter went to work for the City of Corpus Christi Water Department as a Foreman. He worked there for 19 ½ years before eventually retiring.

Israel’s fondest memories were involving moments from his childhood. He enjoyed spending time with his grandfather, Juventino Garcia, at their family ranch. He enjoyed watching western movies and WWE matches. In his spare time, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle and taking road trips with his wife, Belinda. Above all, Israel loved spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and his family.

Israel is reunited with his father, Israel Perez Sr.; stepfather, Trino Salinas; and grandparents. He leaves his loving memories to his wife, Belinda B. Perez; mother, Anita Salinas; children, Sonny (Trini) Moreno Jr., Jennifer (Matthew) Goldston, Karissa (David) Shearer, John G. Muniz, Lauri Gonzalez, Israel Perez III, Eric I. (Amanda) Perez, Kevin Perez, and Tashia (Pete) Garibay; 24 grandchildren; siblings, Idalia Davila, Marina Perez, Mark (Sylvia) Salinas, and Juan (Sara) Perez; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation for Israel will be held from 5 PM until 9 PM on Sunday, March 17, 2024, at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, where a Holy Rosary will be recited that same evening at 7 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will occur at 10 AM on Monday, March 18, 2024, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 540 Hiawatha St., Corpus Christi, Texas 78405. Rite of Committal and Interment with Final Military Honors will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
