Jean Mills, age 89, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2021. Jean was born August 26, 1931 to Gabriel Mengarelli and Mary (Avaltroni) Mengarelli in Shelby, Mississippi on August 26, 1931.
Jean graduated from Shelby High School, and then married Bill Mills. Jean had a career in banking and worked for Corpus Christi National Bank for many years. She had a passion for gardening, cooking, and for her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Bill Mills and Archie Newcomb; son, Mark Newcomb.
She is survived by her daughter, Carla Newcomb Garcia; sons, Charles Newcomb, and Kelly Newcomb;
grandchildren, Jeremy Garcia, Amanda Garcia-Wagner, Nicole Garcia, Brekken Holtrop, Ryan Petrich, and Jordan Petrich; 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; brothers, Vic Mengarelli, Jimmy Mengarelli, and Joseph Mengarelli.
