Jeronimo Serna

Serna, his wife and their two sons arrived in the Molina area in 1949 with Alex E. Cox, a developer who had been working in Mission, Texas. The Sernas were one of the first families to build and live in homes on the land, which formerly belonged to rancher Susano Molina.

Jeronimo is preceded in death by his parents, Nicolas Serna and Maria Josefina Jimenes; his twin brother Jose Serna and infant daughter Andrea Serna. He leaves behind to cherish is memories his sons, Joe (Irma) Serna, Guillermo (Yezmin) Serna; grandchildren, Steve (Jessica) Serna, Angela Serna, Ashley Serna, Adrian (Brenda) Serna, Jason Serna and Celine Serna; great-grandchildren, Miranda ,Chloe, Lily and Adrian Serna Jr.

Family will be receiving friends at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.

Funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Pilar Catholic Church on Thursday, February 5, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. with entombment to follow at Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
