Jesus “Chuy” Elizondo was 88 years old and resided in Corpus Christi, TX. He passed away on May 12, 2025. He was born on August 6, 1936, in Doctor Coss Nuevo Leon, Mexico to parents Agapito Elizondo and Manuela Alanis.
Chuy graduated from Amado Nervo High School in 1951 and went on to the Accounting Academy receiving an associate’s degree in accounting in 1953.
Chuy was a man of humility and integrity. His words stood as solid as his handshakes, and he lived a life of grounded values; a role model for everyone. Whether through his acts as a father, a husband, a friend, or a neighbor, he proved himself time and time again to be a truly respectable and amazing man. No number of praises can fully represent the good he brought to the world and those around him.
Chuy met the love of his life Elda Cuellar Elizondo in 1973. They went on to get married on November 8, 1975, in Valle Hermoso, Mexico. He worked as an accountant at SARH for 32 years and retired in 1985. Chuy and his family moved to Skidmore, TX in 1992 where they began their new chapter in life.
Chuy had a passion for the outdoors, sports, and watching his favorite action movies. He also enjoyed BBQing and spending time at the ranch, but most of all he loved quality time with his family.
Chuy lived his life to the fullest. He will be remembered for his positive outlook on life, dancing at family gatherings, acting silly with his grandkids, and sharing his wise life lessons with his children.
Chuy is preceded in death by his parents, Agapito Elizondo (father), Manuela Alanis Elizondo (mother); and siblings, Maria Rocha Elizondo (sister), Jose Elizondo (brother), Corina Elizondo (sister), Manuela Urtado Elizondo (sister), and Agapito Elizondo (brother).
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Elda Elizondo; children, Jesus (Gloria) Elizondo, Monica Elizondo, and Sergio (Veronica) Elizondo; grandchildren, Kylee, Alejandro, Gabriella, Devin, and Milania; and siblings, Angelica (Emiliano) Ruiz Elizondo, Amada Raymundo Elizondo, Santos (Jesus) Murillo Elizondo, and Rafaela (Eliseo) Chavez Elizondo.
