Jose was a kind and loving person. He had a contagious laugh and a smile that could light up the room. Jose, or "Big Joe," as many called him, made an impact on many lives. Jose loved going for drives with his wife Joann, playing with his dog Snoopy and his cockatiel Chippy, loved watching tv shows, playing the drums, listening to Tejano music and loved to BBQ. Above all, Jose enjoyed spending time and playing jokes with his family and friends. Jose was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan, fun-loving. He loved spending time with his wife, daughter, sons, and grandchildren, which were his greatest joy. He had a love for Jesus and knew no stranger. He lived his life to the fullest. Jose was a truck driver for many years and worked for Thomas Petroleum until his retirement in 2015. Jose was a graduate of W.B. Ray High School.
We will all miss his smile, laughter, and banter. Most of all, he was a devoted Christian, loving son, father, brother, grandfather, and mentor who was always willing to help others. Jose was preceded in death by his father, Jose Soto Jr, mother-in-law Esperenza Garcia, and Sister-in-law Raquel "Angie" Soto. Jose is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Joann Soto; mother Teresa Soto; his daughter, Teresa Flores (Ramon), Jose Soto IV (Emily), Joshua Soto (Kendall). He is also survived by his granddaughters and grandson, Raelyn, Ava, Olivia, Alec, Lyanna, and Stormy. His sisters, Gracie Casares (Mario), Severa Soto, Lucy White (Cesar), and brother Mario Soto; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
"And God shall wipe all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away" - Revelation 21:4
