

Joseph O. Peña was a loving father, husband, brother, and son. He was a high school graduate of West Oso High School, class of 2002. He was also a graduate of Upper Iowa University where he received a Bachelor's of Arts in Graphic Design. Joseph was a sports enthusiast. He was involved in many activities including the college football team and college fraternity. In addition, he helped coach his children's Little League teams while working as a contract pipe-fitter. He was recently employed by Ohmstede Limited. His new assignment was in Denver, Colorado. Contracting required him to travel all over. He recently finished a job in Port Arthur and the Virgin Islands.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Carlos Peña, Jr.; paternal grandfather, Golfrey Peña, Sr.; his maternal grandfather, Tomas Eureste, Jr. and his two uncles, Servando 'Tito' Eureste and Olivero Peña.
Joseph is survived by his loving wife of nine years, Tiffany Cavazos Peña; his children, Jasmine Peña (7) and Jordan Peña (10); three sisters, Cynthia Peña-Handson (Torie), Sandra Peña and Laura Peña (Joe); nieces and nephews, Tyler, Tjaden, Triston, Kimberley and Talianna; maternal grandmother, Petra Eureste and paternal grandmother, Celestina Peña. He also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and a large family from Hebbronville, Texas.
Joseph will be dearly missed by all who came to know and love him.
The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Pilar Catholic Church, 1101 Bloomington on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
