Lorenzo Garcia Jr., 74, of Corpus Christi, Texas, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, September 11, 2024. He was born in Corpus Christi to Lorenzo Sr and Elida R. Garcia on July 23, 1950. He passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on September 11, 2024.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lorenzo Sr. and Elida R. Garcia; brothers, Homer Garcia, Noe Garcia, Roland Garcia, and Arnulfo (Arnold) Garcia; nephew, Robert Rene Garcia.
Larry led a tranquil and private life with his life partner of 42 years, Terry Martin, in Corpus Christi, Texas. He lived a pleasant life as a devoted homemaker. Larry enjoyed baking and often delighted family and friends by bringing his delicious desserts to gatherings. He had a passion for gardening and cherished traveling to Mexico and other destinations with Terry, which brought him joy and fulfillment. His devoted care for Terry reflected their strong bond, and he remained a steadfast source of support until the very end.
He is survived by his siblings, Maria Imelda Garcia, Velma Gutierrez, Ruben (Manuela) Garcia, Gloria Garcia, Thelma Garcia, Mary Linda (Jose) Hernandez and Cynthia (Robert) Garcia and numerous nieces and nephews.
While he chose to live quietly, his presence will be deeply missed. He leaves behind cherished memories that will be treasured by everyone who knew him.
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and hospital staff at Doctor’s Regional who provided compassionate care until his passing and for your kindness toward our family during this time.
Public visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel, 4901 Everhart, Corpus Christi, Texas on Friday, October 4, 2024 from 5pm until 9pm with a prayer service to be held at 6:30 pm that same evening.
