Luis F. Rodriguez

He was born on August 25, 1954 in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Luis retired from the Corpus Christi State School after years of dedicated service. He also umpired for many years.

Luis was a loyal Miller BUC and a great baseball player. He had a passion for fishing and slot machines. He was a die-hard Dallas Cowboy fan. His savory Bar-B-Q’s will be missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Guadalupe P. Rodriguez and Eva F. Rodriguez; brothers, Gilbert and Rudy Rodriguez; sisters, Gloria R. Zaragoza and Sylvia Molina.

Luis is survived by his children, Roel Rodriguez, Sonia Rodriguez, and Andrea Rodriguez (Jerald Garcia); Mother of his children, Irma Rodriguez; Seven grandchildren, Richard Smith, Isabella and Sebastian Estrella, Ariah, Gabriel and Lauren Cervantes, Jasmine Garcia; one great-granddaughter, Khaleesi Smith.

Also surviving him are his brothers, Bobby (Lupita) Rodriguez, Oscar (Irene) Rodriguez, Arnold (Liz Rodriguez) and Richard Rodriguez; sisters, Ida Saenz (Johnny), Gracie Garcia (Daniel) and Diana Rodriguez; Many nephews, nieces and cousins.

Public visitation will begin on Friday, May 20, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Memorial Holly with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.
