

Lydia (Lily) Padron Guerra, age 95, passed away peacefully at the home of her Son and Daughter-In-Law on February 13, 2017 surrounded by her Family.
Lydia was born on February 6, 1922 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Pedro, Sr. and Angelina Padron. Lydia and her mother, Angelina, both graduated from beautician school and opened up a beauty shop together. She married Francisco Guerra on February 23, 1947 and worked for the Corpus Christi Drug Abuse Council before retiring. Lydia was a member of Christ The King Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Altar Society.
Lydia is preceded in death by her husband Francisco Guerra, her parents Pedro Sr. and Angelina Padron and her only brother, Pedro Padron, Jr.
She is survived by her two sons, John Manuel (Peggy) Guerra of Corpus Christi, Texas and Mario Francisco Guerra of Corpus Christi, Texas; one daughter Rose (Steve) Gonzalez of Denver, Colorado; Six grandchildren, John Michael Guerra (Nicole) of Kaysville, Utah; James Guerra of Victoria, Texas; Iris Gonzalez Price (Darren) of Dallas, Texas; Brandy Drennan, Valerie Gonzalez and Stephen Gonzalez of Denver, Colorado; 8 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson; two nieces, Connie P. Flores and Angie P. Gomez both of Corpus Christi, Texas and 17 great-great nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons John Michael Guerra and James R. Guerra, great nephew Roland Flores, II and great-great nephews James L. Grigsby, Jr. and Joseph Elizalde, Jr.
Family and friends may visit on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Funeraria Del Angel /Angelus Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 20, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.
