

She was born in Poth, Texas on November 10, 1941.
Margarita married Albert Medrano in 1998, who sadly passed before her two years ago.
She dedicated her life to nursing and preaching and was a private home duty nurse serving her patients with her loving care. She was a faithful member of the Church of Acts, Primera Asamblea, and many more throughout her life.
Margarita had a passion for sewing, gardening, cooking tamales and especially praising the Lord. She was known as “Gammie” to all her grandchildren. Her specialty was making tamales and she would sell them all year round. Everyone loved her delicious tamales. Margarita is remembered by giving her best advise and always supported her family as much as she could.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Paulita Blanco Carranza, her father, Ermidio Carranza, her first husband, Victor Nieto, her husband Albert Medrano and granddaughter, Victoria Armadillo (whom she loved dearly).
Margarita memories are cherished by her surviving children, Monica N. Tijerina (J.R) and Rene Nieto (Sandra) , her grandchildren, Alexandria N. Tijerina, Paloma Blanca Tijerina and Rene Nieto, Jr., Great Grandchildren, Bobby Rey Armadillo, Samson Armadillo, and Morrison Tripp Zaragosa. Also surviving is her sister, Amelia Nino known as Molly.
The family would like to give special thanks to Tara Sutherland at Lonestar Ranch Rehabilitation Center the RN/MDS Coordinator that took loving care of our mom.
