Maria Yolanda Lopez

Maria was a devoted mother, grandmother, and family member whose life centered around caring for those she loved. She spent many years as a stay-at-home mom, raising her child and nurturing her family. Later in life, she also worked at local restaurants, where she was known for her strong work ethic and warm spirit.

Maria had a deep love for cooking and was especially known for making delicious food and fresh tortillas for her family. She also enjoyed babysitting, watching her novelas, and spending time with loved ones. Some of the family’s most cherished memories are the weekend BBQs where everyone gathered together, sharing laughter, stories, and great food.

She will be remembered for her caring heart and the love she showed to her family, especially the children she helped care for over the years.

Maria was preceded in death by her parents, Guadalupe Almeida and Petra Lopez Herrera; and several family members, including several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her daughter, Erika Peña Leos; her siblings Jesse Lopez, Joey Almeida, and Mary Pierce; and her beloved grandchildren Evelyn Marie Longoria, Elana Leos, Adelina Leos, and Antonio Miguel Peña.

The family would like to extend special thanks to all the family and friends who were there for Maria throughout her life.

Maria will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her kindness, her cooking, and the love she shared with everyone around her.
