

Born on January 27, 1974, in Corpus Christi, Texas, Maria was the cherished daughter of Benito Garza Sr. and Mary Lou Garza. Maria lived a rich and meaningful life, filled with love, family, and memorable moments. Her journey, from earning her GED and a degree at Del Mar College to her work at a foot and ankle specialist's office, showcased her dedication and hard work. Marrying her true love, Ramiro Adame Jr., on June 2, 2018, she built a life filled with cherished memories. Her roles as a wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend were deeply treasured, and she filled the lives of those around her with joy. Maria had a vibrant love for dancing, cooking, watching her beloved Dallas Cowboys, and spending time with family at the park or on trips to the river. Maria especially loved her Sunday "Big Breakfasts" with her family. She was known for her famous beef enchiladas and her commitment to her family, especially her "grandbabies," who were her greatest joy. Her compassion extended beyond her immediate family, as she nurtured her nieces and nephews with the same love she gave her own children. Although she has reunited with family members who preceded her in death, including her father, Benito Garza Sr. and brother,Benito Garza Jr., as well as her maternal grandparents, Reynaldo and Consuelo Reyna, and paternal grandparents, Lazaro and Maria Garza, her legacy of kindness and generosity continues through her surviving loved ones. Her husband, Ramiro Adame Jr., her cherished daughter, Cassandra Natalie Reyna (Horacio Villarreal), her grandbabies, Aniyah Aubree Villarreal, and Ariah Reign Villarreal, and her special cousin/daughter, Mia Garza. Also surviving Maria is her adoring mother, Mary Lou Garza, as well as her siblings, Julie Ann Garza (Jesus Ignacio Limon), Lori (Yolanda) Uballe, and Joe Anthony (Leslie) Garza, her nieces and nephews, Joshua Limon, Brittany Iruegas, Savannah Limon, Justin Limon, Jonathan Limon, Jacob Limon, Sireena Limon, Deziray Garza, Emalie Garza, Joe Anthony Garza Jr., Benny Garza, Emma Taylor Pintor, and Ellie Rae Pintor.
The family, grateful for the care she received at Corpus Christi Medical Center, and Wound Centrics who will forever hold Maria’s memory in their hearts, remembering her for her love, warmth, and dedication to family and friends.
Visitation for Maria Consuelo will take place on Thursday, September 26, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel, located at 549 Cheyenne St., Corpus Christi, TX. A Holy Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 27, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, with Father Jerry officiating. Following the service, Maria will be laid to rest at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
