Mary LaRue Roth

Mary LaRue Roth, 82, our gentle and loving mother, went home to be with our Heavenly Father on June 20th 2012 in Corpus Christi Texas, after a lengthy illness. She was born on December 12, 1929 in St. Louis, Missouri to William and Lucille Hodgens. She moved to Corpus Christi as a young girl and met and married the love of her life, Jesse Roth. She was a wonderful homemaker, who loved to read, bake, sew, and study the bible. Mary had a wonderful sense of humor and a sharp wit that lasted up until the day she passed.

She is survived by her husband, Jesse B. Roth, of Portland, Texas and daughters, Jacelle Brinkmeyer and husband Charlie, of Olympia, Washington, Brenda Mellina, of Waxahatchie, Texas, and Suzanne Roth Paul and husband Chris, of Mill Valley, California, six grandsons and one great granddaughter.

She is also survived by her brother, Bob Hodgens (Alicia), a nephew and numerous nieces.

Special thanks for the loving care our mother received from her life-long friend, Connie Allen and the home care provided by Darlene Starry, Patsy, Heather and staff, as well as Odyssey and Lighthouse Hospices.

A service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, June 23. 2012 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home & Cemetery, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, Texas, with burial to follow.
