Michael Andrew Martinez

Michael Andrew Martinez passed away on December 19, 2012 at the age of 21. He was born on December 3, 1991 in Chandler, Arizona to Robert Thorpe and Jo Ann Martinez. Michael loved the game of basketball. He loved music (writing, listening, and performing it). He was a flashy dresser who always had a smile on his face. Michael loved spending time with his many friends. He will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jose R. Martinez.

Michael is survived by his mother and step father, Jo Ann (Ashley) Jackson; brother, Jose Martinez; sister, Alyssa Davila; grandmothers, Emilia Martinez, Bennel Jackson; grandfather, Armand Jackson; aunts, Joy Martinez, Yvonne Martinez, Adrian Evans (Justin), Alecia Anthony (Lawrence); uncle, Andrew Jackson (Rhonda); cousins, Matthew Martinez, Zoe Martinez, and Eron Coleman. Also surviving him is his best friend, Joc Nash, who he considered as a brother, and numerous other friends.

Visitation will be on Sunday, December 23, 2012 from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Funeraria del Angel-Memorial Holly Chapel with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Services will conclude at the end of the visitation.
