He graduated from Roy Miller High School in 1960, and then enlisted in U.S. Army where he served for 26 years until he retired with rank of MSG/E8. Miguel enjoyed participation in Knights of Columbus and the Cursillo Group at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He will always be remembered for his love and devotion to his family and his generosity toward others as well as for his service to his community and his church.
Miguel is preceded in death by his parents, Santos and Ignacia Serna; siblings: Jose Serna, Juanita Serna, Jose Jesus Serna, Martin Serna, Julian R. Serna, Jay Serna, Mary Salinas, Petra Serna, and Florencia Serna.
He is survived by: his fiancé Angelina Lozano; his children: Michael R. (Patricia) Serna, Benjamin F. (Stephenie) Serna, Leticia J. Galvan; His X-Wife and mother of his children, Vivian Munoz.
Siblings: Sylvia (Hilario) Villarreal, Tina (John) Ayala, Louis (Lydia) Serna, Lydia (Manuel) Elizondo; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel-Everhart, 4901 Everhart Road, Corpus Christi, Texas with Deacon Benny Vargas reciting Rosary. Funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1322 Comanche St., Corpus Christi, Texas followed by Interment at 1:00 p.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery, 2731 Comanche St., Corpus Christi, TX.
