Molly Jean (Cross) Marsalis, 81, of Corpus Christi, TX, was called home to Heaven on Sunday, February 8, 2015 surrounded by her family at Bay Area Hospital in Corpus Christi, TX. She was born on Dec. 20, 1933 in Herpel, Arkansas to Walter Cross & Clara (Condrey) Cross. She was married Dec. 22, 1950 to Dan Marsalis, Jr. in San Benito, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband Dan, son Sam Marsalis, son-in-law Larry Holloway and granddaughter Holly Kay Holloway. She is survived by daughters Donna Holloway, Anita Russell (Stephen), son David Marsalis, daughter-in-law Mary Marsalis, nine grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. She is also survived by her loving sister Rae Bright.
Her love and devotion to her family and church was the cornerstone of her life. Her love was often displayed in her gardening, crafts, and even cooking for the ones she cherished. Her care and affection was strongly felt by her attentiveness to other people’s well-being. Her resilient spirit and steadfast will to her beliefs kept her strong, loving, and devoted to her autistic son, David.
Services will be held Friday Feb. 13, 2015 at 2:00p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home.
